El 23 de septiembre de 1665, Christoph Bernard van Galen, Príncipe-Obispo de Münster, llegó a Losser con una gran fuerza. El pueblo fue casi completamente destruido. Las tropas se retiraron pero acamparon aquí (41), quedando frente al puente durante más de cinco meses. Y los Losernaren tuvieron que pagar muchos tributos todo este tiempo.
