En Waterdunen todo se une: naturaleza salina de mareas, recreación, defensa costera y un vivero para cultivos salinos. Esta hermosa área natural se inauguró en 2022 y todavía está en pleno desarrollo. A pesar de que el área acaba de abrir, ya puedes ver grandes cantidades de aves y plantas. La naturaleza salina en Waterdunen se ha desarrollado rápidamente. Durante tu caminata, encontrarás diferentes refugios para la observación de aves y pantallas de observación. Desde estos refugios, puedes observar a las aves de cerca sin que ellas te vean.
Waterdunen muestra que Zeeland hoy en día trata el agua de manera diferente.
