De Bolwerken es un parque urbano en Haarlem, situado al norte de la estación, y comprende las antiguas fortificaciones de la ciudad. Después de que las murallas de la ciudad fueran demolidas en el siglo XIX, el área fue transformada en un parque de estilo paisajístico inglés por el paisajista J.D. Zocher, quien también diseñó el Vondelpark. En 2007, los dos lados del parque en Kloppersingel fueron conectados por un puente peatonal. Los caminos en el parque son permeables al agua gracias al uso de grava de Grauwacke.
