La Ermita de Nuestra Señora del Socorro está situada bajo un macizo rocoso con vistas al río Ave y presenta una peculiar arquitectura, con planta cuadrada cubierta por bóveda.
El interior está decorado con bellos azulejos del siglo XVIII que representan la vida de Cristo y un retablo rococó.
Fue construido entre 1599 y 1603 por Gaspar Manuel, posiblemente en cumplimiento de un voto a Nuestra Señora del Socorro, caballero jurado de la Orden de Cristo y capitán en las rutas de la India, China y Japón, y su esposa Bárbara Ferreira de Almeida, quienes están enterrados aquí.
Desde la plataforma que rodea el templo se puede disfrutar de una vista incomparable sobre Vila do Conde.
