L'établissement Bad Volderwildbad est situé dans la vallée de Volda, une petite vallée latérale de la vallée de l'Inn tyrolienne dans les Alpes de Tux, à 1104 mètres d'altitude et fait partie de la commune de Volders. Il a été exploité jusqu'à sa fermeture en tant que "hôtel alpin, bain et pension".
L'ancien village était un lieu de chasse pour les seigneurs tyroliens et a été mentionné pour la première fois dans un document en 1463. Le baron Damian Genger a construit en 1625 une chapelle baroque, dédiée aux saints médecins Cosmas et Damian. L'importance de Volderwildbad en tant que station thermale a été louée en 1756 dans une chronique. Il a également été temporairement appelé "Bain de la jeunesse". Maximilian I, le dernier chevalier, et le chef paysan Josef Speckbacher figuraient parmi les invités célèbres. En 1919, la pension-gîte Volderwildbad, avec scierie et agriculture, a été reprise par Josef Fink.
