Les Huwynsbossen à Lichtervelde (35 ha) constituent un magnifique poumon vert dans une région relativement pauvre en nature. C'est donc une grande attraction pour de nombreux cyclistes et randonneurs des environs. Partez à l'exploration avec le Margrietepad (2 km - départ du parking) ou tentez votre chance avec le vaste parcours de randonnée Heihoek (8,5 km). Pour les cavaliers et les vététistes, un chemin équestre et un sentier de VTT sont également prévus. Les plus petits parmi nous peuvent s'amuser à leur guise dans la forêt de jeux 'De Elf Gemeten'. Dans la Ridderstraat, près de la forêt, un parking à vélos et un espace agréable pour pique-niquer sont à disposition.
