Depuis 1997, Luc Vermeersch, le fondateur de la brasserie De Leite, expérimentait dans son jardin avec des brassins. Finalement, il suivit un cours de brassage et l'idée de rendre les choses un peu plus professionnelles prit forme. En 2008, la brasserie De Leite ouvrit ses portes, à peine trois ans plus tard, des chaudières plus grandes firent leur entrée. Aujourd'hui, ces bières à haute fermentation sont toujours brassées de manière traditionnelle. Cela donne une belle collection de bières, chacune bénie de noms évocateurs.
