À l'est de la Grand-Place, vous pouvez admirer la façade à pignon tardive du couvent des Sœurs Grises. Autrefois, il y avait une maison de patricien avec un bâtiment attenant de style Renaissance, qui a été transformé en auberge de la Lion d'Or au milieu du XVIIe siècle. En 1678, les Sœurs Grises vivaient déjà à Roulers, dans la maison 'Den Hert'. Cependant, elles ont acheté l'auberge en 1683 et y ont emménagé deux ans plus tard. Sur la façade encore authentiquement préservée se trouve une statue de Notre-Dame.
