La croix de Ludvina a été érigée en 1782 dans la ville belge de Brakelbos à la mémoire de Ludvina Bruggelinck, une jeune fille de 21 ans de la Bosstraat, qui a été assassinée à cet endroit dans la forêt le 16 juin 1738. Il y a plusieurs histoires sur ce meurtre.
Jean-Baptiste Van Loo, curé d’Opbrakel à la fin du 19ème siècle, écrivait dans ses mélanges d’Opbrakel : Selon la tradition populaire, cette abomination serait le fait d’un cavalier de passage, qui, poussé par un tempérament féroce, aurait molesté la fille parce qu’elle était occupée à l’herbe.
