Waditz, sorabe, est un village de 56 habitants dans le district de Bautzen en Haute- Lusace, qui appartient à la commune de Kubschütz. Il fait partie de l'Haute-Lusace et appartient à la zone de peuplement officielle des Sorabes.
La première mention a lieu en 1250 lorsqu'un Heinricus de Wadewitz est cité dans un document de l'évêque de Meißen. En 1376, un Hentschil de Wadewicz est mentionné dans un document du chapitre de la cathédrale de Bautzen. Les désignations ultérieures du lieu sont Wadewitz, Watitz et depuis 1791 Waditz.
