La gare de Krefeld-Uerdingen est la gare régionale de l'ancienne ville indépendante d'Uerdingen jusqu'en 1929. Elle est située au nord-est de Krefeld, près de la frontière avec Duisbourg, dans le quartier de Rheinhausen.
La gare a été mise en service le 29 septembre 1849 sous le nom d'Uerdingen. À partir du 5 octobre 1849, l'ensemble de la ligne de chemin de fer d'Uerdingen à Homberg et, de 1852 à 1885, vers le Trajet de Ruhrort-Homberg a été desservi, cette ligne ayant été fermée en 1961. Depuis le 1er septembre 1866, Uerdingen était également un point d'arrêt sur la ligne de chemin de fer Osterath-Dortmund Sud de Meerbusch-Osterath à Essen et depuis 1874 jusqu'à Dortmund, d'abord par le trajet Rheinhausen-Hochfeld, puis à partir de 1873 par le pont ferroviaire de Duisburg-Hochfeld.
