Kervenheim forme avec Kervendonk une localité de la ville de Kevelaer, dans le district de Kleve, avec environ 2200 habitants. Kervenheim a initialement eu le statut de ville, attesté par des documents dès l'année 1322, mais a perdu ce statut pendant l'époque napoléonienne. La localité avait à l'origine une superficie de 11 hectares, qui a été augmentée par le biais de cessions de territoire de la commune rurale de Kervendonk à 45 hectares. La localité actuelle de Kervenheim a une superficie de 15,55 km².
