Le Parc Güell se situe dans le quartier de Gràcia sur une colline. Vous pouvez y venir pour différentes raisons, comme profiter de la nature ou vous promener, mais surtout pour admirer l'un des chefs-d'œuvre d'Antoni Gaudí et profiter de la vue imprenable sur la ville de Barcelone.
Le Parc Güell a été formé par la fusion de deux fermes, Can Muntaner de Dalt et Can Coll i Pujol. Celles-ci ont été acquises par le comte Eusebi Güell en 1899 qui a chargé Gaudí de construire un parc résidentiel près de sa ferme, Can Muntaner. L'objectif était de créer une 'ville-jardin privée' pour les riches Barcelonais.
Depuis 2013, l'accès à la partie monumentale du Parc Güell (entrée principale, le lézard, la Sala Hipóstila, la Plaça de la Naturalesa et les viaducs) est payant. Les billets coûtent 7 € en ligne et 8 € à la billetterie.
