Les écoles publiques sont une œuvre de la municipalité de Ribes de Freser incluse dans l'Inventaire du Patrimoine Architectural de Catalogne. Elle abrite l'Institut École Vall de Ribes, connu jusqu'en 2021 sous le nom d'Institut École Ribes de Freser.
Les écoles publiques de Ribes de Freser appartiennent à la typologie utilisée par Jeroni Martorell également à Sant Joan de les Abadesses. Elles se composent d'un rez-de-chaussée et de deux étages dans le corps central et d'un rez-de-chaussée et d'un étage sur les côtés. C'est un bâtiment symétrique qui a subi une modification ultérieure bien que très réussie.
