Cappel est connu pour sa magnifique ferme ancienne, rue de la Forêt, enrichie d’un décor sculpté et gravé. Elle fut érigée en 1708 par Andres Kremer et sa femme Maria et ne fut que légèrement transformée après la seconde guerre mondiale. Au-devant de la maison, un beau calvaire élevé en 1812 traduit bien le caractère populaire de l’art de nos campagnes. De rares témoignages des maisons du XVIIIe siècle sont visibles dans la rue Abbé Touba. L’art religieux y a sa part aussi comme le calvaire de 1741 élevé contre l’église et la chapelle du cimetière, de style néogothique.
