La nécropole nationale de Verdun "Glorieux" regroupe les dépouilles de soldats morts pour la France lors des combats dans la région de Verdun en 1914-1918. Créé en 1916, le cimetière est réaménagé en 1967 pour rassembler les corps d'autres combattants tombés dans le secteur de Verdun, notamment ceux exhumés en 1983 du cimetière de Fromereville. D'une superficie de 20 579m2, la nécropole nationale accueille plus de 4 000 corps de soldats français et 2 britanniques pour la période 1914-1918.
