Tata Motors Limited , anciennement connu sous le nom de TELCO , est la plus importante compagnie indienne de fabrication de véhicules personnels et commerciaux. Elle fait partie de Tata Group et son siège social est à Mumbai, dans l’État du Maharashtra.
Le groupe Fiat et Tata Motors avaient déjà uni leurs forces commerciales sur le marché indien, puisque c'est le réseau Tata, renforcé par les dealers Fiat Premier, qui commercialisait depuis mars 2006 les automobiles Fiat et Tata fabriquées localement. Cet accord a été rompu le 2 mai 2012, l'italien reprenant à son compte la distribution et la commercialisation de ses modèles sur le marché indien.
