Meerssen est un village dans le sud du Limbourg (Pays-Bas). Depuis le 1er janvier 1982, c'est le chef-lieu de la commune éponyme de Meerssen. Avec Bunde et Rothem, l'endroit forme une zone densément peuplée au nord de la capitale provinciale Maastricht. Meerssen compte environ 5840 habitants.
La basilique du Saint-Sacrement, dans sa forme actuelle datant du 14e siècle, est un fleuron du style gothique mosan. Dans cette église se trouve un clocher de 12 mètres de haut, en mémoire des miracles qui y auraient eu lieu.
