Le moulin Neubourg se trouvait autrefois près du château de Neubourg. Du grain y était moulé jusqu'en 1853, lorsque les activités furent transférées à un moulin à papier un peu plus en aval. L'ancien moulin Neubourg a été démoli et un nouveau a été construit dans le hameau de Pesaken. En 1905, celui-ci a brûlé. L'état ancien n'a pas été restauré, mais le moulin a été modernisé.
En 1930, il a reçu un moteur électrique, car l'énergie hydraulique de la Gulp n'était pas toujours suffisante. Pendant des années, le moulin est resté à l'arrêt. Dans les années quatre-vingt, il a été restauré. Aujourd'hui, c'est le plus grand moulin à eau des Pays-Bas encore en service et il fait partie du restaurant ‘de Pannenkoekenmolen’.
