Au sud du couvent des sœurs franciscaines pénitentes recollets de Roosendaal se trouve, parallèle à la Nieuwstraat et à la Markendaalseweg, l'ancienne chapelle du couvent, datant de 1904-1905 et construite selon les plans de l'architecte bruxellois J. Lijdsman. La chapelle est réalisée dans un style néo-gothique sobre, inspiré de la fin du Gothique français du quatorzième siècle. Au fil du temps, le bâtiment a subi quelques modifications. Dans les années 1960, l'intérieur a été simplifié. Maintenant, le restaurant Liefdegesticht fait partie de l'Hôtel Nassau.
