Cette fontaine est située au milieu de la Praça da República.

Il s'agit d'une fontaine typiquement portugaise , construite en granit au XVIIIe siècle . Elle possède une base à trois marches et un bassin hexagonal dans lequel tombe l'eau. Au milieu de celle-ci se trouve une sorte de colonne, avec deux poêles à différentes hauteurs, où se trouvent les conduites d'eau.
