Wat Jong Soong a été construit en 1838 par le peuple Shan. Le temple a été endommagé lorsqu'un grand incendie s'est produit à Mylonggee (grand minéral) et a ensuite été appelé Mueang Youm Luang suivi de Mae Sariang. Des dons ont été recueillis et un nouveau temple a été construit sous Phra Sengkum. Le temple a été achevé en 1896 et nommé Wat Jong Soong. Le nom a été changé pendant la période du PM Phibunsongkhram en Wat Uttayarom. Il y a 3 pagodes sur le terrain. La pagode à l'ouest a été construite au début du règne du roi Rama VI. La période de construction de la pagode centrale n'est pas connue, mais on pense qu'elle contient une relique du Bouddha. La pagode à l'est est de style birman et possède sept flèches.
