'At your own risk' indica il cartello vicino alla fattoria. Il paesaggio è troppo bello per preoccuparsi di questo. La prima cosa che vedi del complesso del castello è il meraviglioso stagno con dietro le foreste. Il castello di Herlaar risale al XIII secolo ed è completamente circondato da un fossato. L'ingresso si trova oltre un vero ponte levatoio fiancheggiato da due torri di guardia rotonde. A sinistra sulla Wimp si trova il vecchio mulino di Herlaar risalente al XV secolo.
