Aartrijke è un villaggio nella provincia belga del West-Vlaanderen. Aartrijke era un comune indipendente fino alla riorganizzazione comunale del 1977 ed è da allora una frazione di Zedelgem. Un abitante di Aartrijke è chiamato Aartrijkenaar. Scoperte archeologiche testimoniano l'abitazione della regione nel neolitico. Foto aeree mostrano strutture circolari che risalgono all'età del bronzo e all'inizio dell'età del ferro. Il nome Aartrijke ha origini romane, poiché passavano strade romane attraverso Aartrijke e sono state trovate anche monete e ceramiche. Le strade includevano divercula, in particolare l'attuale Zeeweg e l'attuale Steenstraat.
