Al centro del dominio di circa 100 ettari si trova una villa del 1857 e una fattoria con un nucleo del 17° secolo, che nel 1869 divennero di proprietà della famiglia Vroonen. Furono realizzati un giardino all'inglese, un laghetto e viali. Il 2 aprile 1942 aprì un centro per bambini di lingua olandese le sue porte con il nome 'Tehuis Rulot', chiamato così in onore di Narcisse Rulot, allora direttore generale della NMBS. L'occupante tedesco chiuse il centro il 20 maggio 1944 e requisì il castello. Nel 1953 la città di Hasselt acquistò il dominio, che fu occupato per breve tempo da suore trappiste. Dal 1975 il dominio assunse una nuova destinazione come fattoria didattica.
