La chiesa di San Pietro nel centro di Oostkamp presenta un’ambita torre ottagonale romanica protetta risalente alla fine del XII secolo. Intorno al 1900, questa chiesa a navata fu restaurata ed ampliata in stile neogotico.
L’organo Van Eynde del 1717 è un patrimonio protetto. Alla fine degli anni '70, l’organo si rivelò essere in cattive condizioni. Fu installato un nuovo organo più moderno. La ditta Verschueren ha restaurato l’organo.
Contro il muro laterale nord c’è una targa commemorativa per le vittime militari e civili della Prima Guerra Mondiale.
All'esterno, sul lato nord della chiesa, è stato allestito un Lapidarium. A metà degli anni '70, il cimitero intorno alla chiesa fu trasferito per mancanza di spazio. Tra l’altro, il circolo storico ha contribuito al Lapidarium (1987).
