Il monumento di Horst Wessel era un monumento commemorativo per il SA-Sturmführer Horst Wessel, ucciso a Berlino nel 1930. I resti del precedente monumento si trovano nel Süntel, a circa 700 metri in linea d'aria a nord del quartiere di Welliehausen a Hameln, in bassa Sassonia. È stato progettato a partire dal 1933 e costruito fino al 1938 nei pressi di antiche cave di pietra a circa 370 m s.l.m. Con la costruzione è stato effettuato un collegamento visivo di 12 chilometri con il Bückeberg situato a sud, dove dal 1933 al 1937 si tenevano le feste del raccolto del Reich.
