La diga di Pöhl è la seconda per grandezza del volume d'acqua e la terza per altezza della struttura di sbarramento oltre alla fondazione e per superficie d'acqua in Sassonia. La diga serve a protezione dalle inondazioni, fornitura di acqua potabile, aumento del livello delle acque basse, produzione di energia e ricreazione.
La diga della diga di Pöhl è una diga curva di peso in cemento. La diga è stata costruita dal 1958 al 1964 vicino a Jocketa nel Vogtland. La diga prende il suo nome dal villaggio di Pöhl, che ora si trova sott'acqua. In realtà, però, il luogo sommerso funge da attrazione per le immersioni. L'acqua trattenuta, il Trieb, è un affluente della Weißen Elster.
