La Müller di Horst è oggi una centrale idroelettrica sulla Ruhr nel quartiere Horst di Essen. Fa parte della Route della cultura industriale.
Circa 300 metri più a monte dell'attuale centrale si trovava un mulino, menzionato per la prima volta nel 1319 in documenti ufficiali. Apparteneva ai signori di Horst. Questi possedevano terreni dalla Mosa fino alla Sauerland. L'ingegnere meccanico Franz Dinnendahl e suo fratello Johann nacquero come figli del mugnaio della Müller di Horst. Oggi una targa commemorativa ricorda questo pioniere industriale dell'industria mineraria. Il mulino fu acquisito nel 1840 dall'industriale esseno Friedrich Ludwig Niemann, che fece costruire nei dintorni una villa come residenza.
