Nel XV secolo, la potente nobiltà si stabilisce a Uzerche e costruisce hotel, grandi case e castelli. Tra le costruzioni dell'epoca ci sono il Château Pontier, l'Hôtel des Joyet de Maubec, la Maison Boyer-Chammard, la Maison Eyssartier, la Maison de Tayac e l'Hôtel de Bécharie. La città divenne capitale della regione Bas-Limousin quando nel XVI secolo fu istituito una corte reale. Uzerche visse così il suo secolo d'oro, i nobili vi fecero costruire grandi case con il maggior numero possibile di torrette, che ancora oggi definiscono la 'skyline' di Uzerche.
