L'edificio è visibile solo dall'esterno: si tratta di una costruzione a due piani su una cantina a volta, realizzata in arenaria rosa. Ammirevole portale barocco in arenaria gialla, decorato con la statua di San Francesco (1769). Possibilità di includerlo in una visita guidata della città. Dopo lo scioglimento del Capitolo di Santo Stefano nel 1743, il duca di Lorena Stanislas autorizzò l'insediamento dei frati francescani recolletti a Hombourg nel 1749. Questi monaci costruirono un nuovo convento accanto alla collegiata e vi vissero fino alla Rivoluzione. Dopo la partenza dei Recolletti, l'edificio è stato utilizzato come presbiterio fino al 1997.
