Il lavatoio "la fontaine" si trovava sul letto originale del Gât Mort. Costruito nel 1882 sulla proprietà di Sieur Fournie, all'epoca era un lavatoio privato. Tuttavia, il consiglio comunale considerò questo edificio di uso pubblico e, dopo il parere favorevole del prefetto, lo dichiarò lavatoio comunale. Questo per poter effettuare le necessarie riparazioni e manutenzioni.
