Installata davanti all'ex tribunale, oggi municipio, la statua-fontana mobile è opera di Jean Tinguely e Niki de Saint-Phalle. Donata a Château-Chinon da François Mitterrand, è notevole innanzitutto perché ne esistono pochissime - cinque al mondo, di cui due in Francia - e in secondo luogo perché affascina per il suo movimento e i suoi colori, così caratteristici di Niki: luminosi, vividi, quasi abbaglianti. È allegro, sorprendente e seducente. La città ti fa l'occhiolino.
