Ex decoratore di porcellana, Paul Buforn ha imparato il mestiere di smaltatore presso Fauré, una prestigiosa azienda i cui migliori vasi sono stati esposti alla Galerie des Hospices di Limoges. In seguito ha imparato a lavorare lo smalto e si è dedicato a questa forma d'arte. Nel 1975 ha aperto il suo laboratorio. Pur facendo rivivere la grisaglia, lo champlevé, il cloisonné e gli smalti dipinti per i quali Limoges è famosa, non ha dimenticato di aggiungere il suo tocco personale. Appassionato del suo mestiere, ama accogliere i visitatori nel suo laboratorio di Nexon. Non esitate a spingere la sua porta, Paul Buforn avrà mille e una cosa da dirvi sugli smalti!
