Il mulino è stato costruito nel 1887 dopo che un predecessore del 1801 era stato distrutto da un incendio. Fino al 1970 il mulino è rimasto in uso professionale come pompa del polder di Sebaldebuurstermolen.
Il mulino è stato poi restaurato più volte, e durante l'ultimo restauro avvenuto alcuni anni fa, entrambe le macine sono state rimesse in grado di funzionare. Il mugnaio volontario vive nella casa del mugnaio ricostruita a est del mulino e fa funzionare il mulino molto regolarmente per drenare il polder. Da alcuni anni, vicino alla casa del mugnaio, c'è un modello in scala funzionante de "De Eendracht". Il croce delle pale è dotato del Sistema di Bussel in combinazione con l'auto-switching.
