La torre dell'acqua a Laren è stata progettata dall'architetto Wouter Hamdorff su incarico della Provinciaal Waterleidingbedrijf Noord-Holland ed è stata costruita nel 1931-1933. Secondo l'incarico di costruzione, era previsto che la torre dell'acqua servisse anche come torre panoramica.
La torre si trova lungo la Rijksweg West ed è realizzata in cemento e rivestita con mattoni di klinker. La torre dell'acqua ha un'altezza di 35,65 metri e due serbatoi d'acqua da 500 m³ ciascuno.
