Het stuk van het landschap op Antwerps grondgebied is meer gefragmenteerd dan het stuk in Nederland. Naast de historische kern van Zandvliet ligt een opvallend landgoed. De Antwerpse zeilfabrikant Kums liet hier in de 19e eeuw een kasteel bouwen met bijhorend landgoed. Het Hof van Kums is een eclectisch gebouw met glazen koepels en torens. Tijdens de eerste wereldoorlog werd de toren door de Duitsers verlaagd en werd er een bunker in gewapend beton opgetrokken.
