De folkloremarkt van Heist (juli en augustus) bestaat al langer. Van 15.00 tot 20.00 uur is Heist het decor voor een demonstratie van oude ambachten, optredens van de jeugddansgroep 'Klakkertjes', een poppentheater, een wandeling van de reuzen Pier en Wanne en nog veel meer. Tijdens marktdagen is het soms moeilijk om in Knokke bovengronds parkeren, maak dan gebruik van de ondergrondse parking onder het Verweeplein.
