De overstort van de Aa ligt tussen de Zenne en het kanaal Brussel-Charleroi. Hij werd gebouwd in 1925. Bij hevige regenval en om te voorkomen dat de rivier stroomafwaarts overstroomt, voert deze geul de overloop van de Zenne af naar het kanaal, waarin de overstort uitmondt aan de voet van de sluis van Anderlecht. Het is een betonnen structuur met 4 geautomatiseerde kleppen. Langs deze aftakking van de beek richting kanaal komen ook een aantal soorten voor die aan drassige natuur gelinkt zijn, zoals knotwilg, els, gele lis en – vanaf het voorjaar – middelste groene kikker.
