De evangelische stadskerk in Lengerich in het Tecklenburger Land dateert in zijn huidige vorm uit de 14e en 15e eeuw. Kerk en gemeente behoren tot het kerkelijk district Tecklenburg van de Evangelische Kirche van Westfalen.
Een eerste kerk werd vermoedelijk tussen de 9e en 11e eeuw op de Lengericher bezittingen van het damessticht in Herford gebouwd. Een tweede kerk, waarvan zeker vaststaat dat deze al uit steen was opgetrokken, ontstond in de tweede helft van de 12e eeuw. Uit het tweede kwart van de 13e eeuw dateert een derde kerk op dezelfde locatie, waarvan in documenten uit het jaar 1327 wordt bevestigd dat deze een aan de heilige Margaretha gewijde altaar herbergde.
