De bordelstraat bestaat hier sinds ongeveer 1900, toen onder de naam Heilig-Geist-Straße. Het wordt beschouwd als een van de oudste bordelstraten van Duitsland. Het is een doodlopende straat met een afscheiding. Het ligt noordwestelijk van het stadscentrum, ongeveer 200 meter ten zuidwesten van de Universiteit Duisburg-Essen en 300 meter ten noordwesten van het winkelcentrum Limbecker Platz.
