Het Fort de Condé is een zeer mooi voorbeeld van laat 19e eeuwse militaire architectuur. Niet ver van de Chemin des Dames, tussen Laon en Soissons, behoort dit historische monument tot het verdedigingssysteem dat generaal Séré de Rivières na de nederlaag van 1870 ontwierp. Het maakt deel uit van de Franse vestingbouwtraditie van Vauban tot Maginot. Gedeeltelijk verwoest tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog, was het ontworpen om zeshonderd man, hun officieren, paarden en munitie te huisvesten. Beklim dit bastion van essenhout... Paden, arboretum, picknickplaats en panorama wachten op u! Zelf rondleiding, met audiogids, met gids op verzoek.
