Tegenwoordig heeft het de vorm die het in de 19e eeuw kreeg, maar het is veel eerder, het lijkt uit de 15e eeuw te komen. Vroeger had het een peperbusdak met dakkapellen om de duiven binnen te laten. De duiventil bestaat uit twee niveaus en heeft talrijke schietgaten (duivenhokken), deze laatste zijn van terracotta, de stenen kroonlijst die het ongedierte tegenhield is ook interessant.
