Patrick Delfour en zijn dochter Aurélie wilden de bezoeker de geschiedenis van het koekje laten ontdekken, van de oudheid tot nu, aan de hand van verschillende voorwerpen die in de loop der jaren zijn teruggevonden.
Het begin van de koekjesindustrie wordt ook nagegaan met bijvoorbeeld de zelfgemaakte productie van de eerste "Maryleine"-vormen, die niet op de markt verkrijgbaar waren. Van de Egyptische perkamenten die getuigen van het maken van taarten in de oudheid, tot de eierscheider (een apparaat om de dooier van het wit te scheiden), ontdekken we de passie die de verantwoordelijke van deze werkplaats drijft.
Want het is inderdaad een ambachtelijke werkplaats, want alle productie gebeurt met de hand.
