De gedenksteen in Noirgueux herdenkt de oversteek van de Moezel door soldaten van de 36e Amerikaanse Infanteriedivisie op 21 september 1944, tijdens hun missie om de stad Remiremont te bevrijden. Deze soldaten riskeerden hun leven bij deze historische operatie. Elk jaar vindt er op dezelfde datum een herdenkingsceremonie plaats met realistische reënactments. De gemeente Saint-Nabord heeft ook een educatief pad aangelegd dat gewijd is aan de Noirgueux-morene om mensen te helpen deze gebeurtenis beter te begrijpen.
