Als lid van de Ecole de Nancy bouwde architect Lucien Weissenburger in 1903-1904 dit gebouw, waarvan hij zelf de begane grond bewoonde, voor zijn persoonlijke woonruimte en zijn atelier. Hij deed een beroep op de talenten van Jacques Gruber voor de glas-in-loodramen en Louis Majorelle voor het ijzerwerk. Het gebouw is gebouwd rond de vestibule, met daarbovenop een terras.
