De mediatheek, geopend in 2009, is een gebouw aan de ingang van de stad, resoluut gericht op de agglomeratie.
De mediatheek is een groot glazen gebouw met een oppervlakte van meer dan 2.500 m2 en bijna 80.000 documenten. Het is een unieke culturele plek, hybride, volledig vrij toegankelijk en open voor iedereen.
Het ter plaatse raadplegen van documenten is gratis.
Het uitlenen van documenten aan huis vereist een jaarlijkse registratie.
Er wordt een gevarieerd cultureel programma aangeboden.
Gratis toegang voor kinderen onder de 14 jaar die in de regio Groot-Longwee wonen.
Groepen zijn welkom op afspraak op dinsdag- en donderdagochtend.
