Castleblayney is een stad in County Monaghan, Ierland. De stad had een bevolking van 3.607 volgens de volkstelling van 2016. Castleblayney ligt vlakbij de grens met County Armagh in Noord-Ierland en bevindt zich aan de N2-weg van Dublin naar Derry en Letterkenny.
De stad ligt boven de westelijke oever van Lough Muckno, het grootste meer in County Monaghan. De rivier Fane stroomt oostwaarts van het meer naar de Ierse Zee bij Dundalk in County Louth. Zoals de Ierse naam van het meer suggereert, wordt het gebied geassocieerd met de Black Pig's Dyke, die ook lokaal in delen van de counties Cavan en Monaghan bekend staat als de Worm Ditch, een oude grens uit de IJzertijd van Ulster.
