Portobello is een gebied in Dublin, Ierland, binnen het zuidelijke stadscentrum en begrensd door het zuiden door het Grand Canal. Het kwam tot stand als een kleine buitenwijk ten zuiden van de stad in de 18e eeuw, gecentreerd rondom Richmond Street. In de daaropvolgende eeuw werd het volledig ontwikkeld, waarbij een gebied van particuliere landgoederen en landbouwgrond werd omgevormd tot stevige Victoriaanse woningen met rode bakstenen voor de middenklassen op de bredere straten, en rijtjeshuizen grenzend aan het kanaal voor de arbeidersklasse.
