Ballyvourney is een Gaeltacht-dorp in het zuidwesten van County Cork, Ierland. Het is een burgerlijke parochie in de baronie van Muskerry West, en ook een kerkelijke parochie in het rooms-katholieke bisdom Cloyne. Ballyvourney maakt deel uit van het Cork North-West Dáil Constituency.
Het dorp strekt zich langs de N22-weg uit, die de stad Cork met Killarney verbindt. De dichtstbijzijnde grote stad is Macroom, terwijl de dichtstbijzijnde internationale luchthaven Cork Airport is. Sinds 2015 is er een voorstel voor de aanleg van 22 km autosnelweg vanaf Coolcour aan de oostzijde van Macroom, die Macroom aan de noordzijde omleidt en westelijk van Ballyvourney eindigt. De Bus Éireann Expressway Route 40 tussen Rosslare Europort en Tralee loopt door Ballyvourney.
